Transcripts
Students who have satisfied all obligations to the University may request a transcript. Due to the confidential nature of student records, official transcripts are released only through the online transcript ordering system. There is a fee that assessed, per transcript, with payment due at the time of the request.
The unofficial transcript request form can be found on the Registrar's webpage and may be picked up by the student in the Registrar's Office or mailed directly to the student.
Students may request an official or unofficial transcript online by visiting the Registrar's webpage at https://www.stmary.edu/registrar/request-transcript
Telephone and email requests will not be honored for either official or unofficial transcripts.
OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT WITHHOLDING POLICY
The University reserves the right to withhold official transcripts from students who have outstanding financial obligations to the University. In accordance with CFR Title 34, Part 668, the University will evaluate requests for official transcripts on an academic-term-by-academic-term basis, as follows:

* A student with an outstanding balance can contact the Business Office at billing@stmary.edu about establishing a payment plan prior to requesting an official transcript.
If a student requests an official transcript and the University intends to withhold or redact the student’s transcript, the University will notify the student in writing of the reason for withholding or redacting the transcript and the steps required to resolve the issue. If the student believes that the University is withholding or redacting the transcript in error, the student should contact the Business Office at billing@stmary.edu immediately. The University will release the full official transcript once the student has satisfied the outstanding financial obligation or has made satisfactory arrangements to repay it.
