Writing for the Web introduces students to the rhetorical principles, creativity, and technical skills needed to create and publish professional web pages. Today, every business is expected to produce online content, from websites to blog posts. Thought leaders and influencers, too, have their own blog pages to connect with their audiences. If you can write for the web, in addition to any career-specific skills you may have, you will be a valuable addition to any company.
We will begin by auditing content and performing user-experience research, then move to content strategy, creation and publishing. You will have the freedom to develop a writing-focused website in an area of personal interest.
