PY 775 Internship in Professional Counseling I
Interns will complete a supervised 300-clock hour experience at a mental health clinic that offers opportunities to deliver individual and group counseling to clients. The intern will provide a minimum of 120 hours of services directly with students including individual and group counseling, assessment, consultation. and psycho-educational activities. Intern duties and responsibilities are equivalent to those of a regularly employed licensed professional counselor. An approved on-site supervisor will provide weekly individual supervision; group supervision is provided by the faculty instructor.
Prerequisite
PY 762 with a grade of "B" or above, and remaining coursework, have an appropriate application for admission to the internship semester before expected enrollment, and permission required.
