PY 776 Internship in Professional Counseling II
Interns will complete a supervised 300-clock hour experience at a mental health clinic that offers opportunities to deliver individual and group counseling to clients. The intern will provide a minimum of 120 hours of services directly with students including individual and group counseling, assessment, consultation, and psycho-educational activities. Intern duties and responsibilities are equivalent to those of a regularly employed licensed professional counselor. An approved on-site supervisor will provide weekly individual supervision; group supervision is provided by the faculty instructor.
Prerequisite
Successful completion of
PY 762 and remaining coursework, have an appropriate application for admission to the internship the semester before expected enrollment, and permission required.
