Financial Aid Application
Once students have been admitted to the university, they may apply for financial aid with a FAFSA. The FAFSA should be completed online at www.fafsa.gov NOTE: Federal student aid covers classes that are a part of a degree program and will not be used to cover courses not required for a degree program nor for determination of enrollment status for the purpose of calculating federal student aid for which a student may qualify.
Students who do not intend to file a FAFSA or who may not be eligible for federal or state aid should contact the Office of Financial Aid to determine what other aid options might be available for them.
The University of Saint Mary awards financial aid after a student has been admitted to the university. Students should file their FAFSA/financial aid applications as soon as practicable since certain types of aid are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The priority deadline for the Kansas Comprehensive Grant is April 1st and students who file applications after this date may lose eligibility for this grant. The University of Saint Mary has a “rolling admissions” policy, which means that a student’s application for admission is processed as soon as it is complete.
The Office of Financial Aid will make every effort to meet the needs of each qualified student. The University of Saint Mary’s ability to meet each student’s financial need is based on the availability of institutional, local, state, and federal funds.
