Political Science
Program Learning Outcomes
The Political Science graduate will demonstrate:
- The ability to effectively access, evaluate, and apply information and/or political data to understand public policy.
- The analytical skills needed to draw conclusions based on political data/information.
- An ability to communicate effectively on political discourse in a variety of settings, to a range of individuals and within groups and teams, using various modes of communication.
- The ability to transform information into political theory constructs, public policy suggestions and political action plans that will enable them to engage in civic and global learning through diverse perspectives.
The major in Political Science requires 31 credit hours in Political Science, including 15 credits of upper-level electives in Political Science.
