AC 450 Advanced Managerial Accounting and Cost Management

This course in Advanced Managerial Accounting and Cost Management builds on the basic managerial and cost accounting concepts studied and practiced in AC 352 and AC 346. The course is particularly important to those students who intend to sit for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or other certification/licensure and related exams. Emphasis for the course is on the application of managerial and cost tools/analytics for strategic decision-making. Case studies, simulations, and real-world scenarios are utilized to analyze, plan, measure, and report on the resources utilized by organizations to generate revenues and achieve profitability. Data analytics are incorporated to support the face-based decisions organizations must make to achieve competitiveness and organizational viability.
