CH 220 General Chemistry I

The first course for students majoring in a field of science. Topics include, but are not limited to, the principles of stoichiometry, thermochemistry, atomic and molecular structures, gases, liquids, and solutions and the chemistry of the elements and their compounds. Lecture three hours per week and laboratory three hours per week.

MA 205 at a grade of “C” or higher, or Math ACT score of 25 on the algebra portion of the exam OR a Next Generation Accuplacer Math score of at least 265 (MA 205 may be taken concurrently with CH 220)
