CIS 320 Advanced Management Information Systems
An examination of the strategic importance of information systems in business, describing how information systems enable business to gain a competitive advantage, and anticipating the role of emerging technologies on business processes in a global marketplace. The emphasis is on how managers use different MIS methodologies in a variety of situations. Functional business areas such as Accounting and Financial Information Systems, Operational Marketing Information Systems, Operational Production Systems, and Operational Human Resources Information Systems are discussed.
