FIN 300 Personal Financial Management and Planning
The management and planning of personal finances are studies and practiced in this course. Emphasis is placed on understanding and applying personal financial concepts required for individuals and families to achieve successful financial goals. Basic planning concepts, goal setting, risk assessment, and tax implications are integrated into all topics covered in the course. Specific topics include the financial aspects of employment, career planning, tax obligations, money/credit management, and investing/saving for future needs. Additional topics include insurances, major purchase decisions, budgeting, savings/retirement plans, and estate/wealth planning.
