MA 330 Introductory Statistics
An introduction to basic statistics. Course topics include: sampling techniques, classification of variables, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, measures of relative standing, probability distributions, discrete and continuous distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, correlation, regression, and Chi-Square tests, and non-parametric tests.
Prerequisite
MA 134 with a grade of “C’ or higher or a minimum score of 23 on the ACT math exam, OR a score above 265 on the Next Generation Accuplacer math placement exam. The prerequisite must have been completed within the last 3 years (10 years for RN-BSN students); otherwise, students must complete
MA 134 with a grade of “C” or higher or take the Next Generation Accuplacer math placement exam.
