PY 230 Lifespan Development

This course provides a bio-psycho-social study of human growth and development from conception to death and provides a general introduction to theories and methods as they relate to neurobiological, cognitive, social, and emotional development of individuals in cultural context from conception through adulthood. Students will gain an understanding of prenatal development; birth process; physical development; language and cognitive development; family, friends, and peer relationships; school and career experiences; self-identity; sexuality and gender; and the aging process.
