PY 560 Techniques and Theories in Psychology
This course is designed to introduce students to the various techniques and theories relevant to the field of psychology. The specific experimental learning activities and exercises will promote effective listening skills, appropriate questioning skills, ethical decision making, diversity awareness, interpersonal effectiveness, and personal development. In addition, students will be introduced to the various therapeutic approaches, such as Psychoanalysis, Gestalt Therapy, Client-centered Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Couple Therapy, Family Therapy, and Group Therapy.
