SPA 305 Conversational Spanish II: Experience the Music of Hispanic Culture
This course introduces students to the different styles of Latin American music such as reggaeton, salsa, Latin pop, Mexican-American corridos, and others. Students will develop an understanding of the ways in which music interacts with cultural values, identities, current events, and political movements throughout the different cultures of the Spanish-speaking world including the United States. The course focuses on using Spanish as much as possible for classroom interaction and interactions with other Spanish speakers outside the classroom.
