AR 100 Introduction to Visual Culture
This course is intended to build a context for understanding visual culture and make art meaningful to the student’s everyday life. Students will explore and analyze influential works of art as a way understand the arts as a method of communication and expression. While reflecting upon and assessing the characteristics and quality of art, students will develop, explore and express their personal aesthetics through art projects, class discussions, group critique and writing assignments.
