BI 440 Human Gross Anatomy

In this course, students will gain an in-depth understanding of human gross anatomy through laboratory dissections, correlated lectures linking anatomy to clinical conditions and pathologies, and the application of anatomical knowledge. Students will achieve a thorough working knowledge of the human body through a regional anatomy approach, describing structures regionally and emphasizing their relationships to each other, including bones, muscles, neurological systems, and internal organs. Students will apply anatomical knowledge to clinical cases, emphasizing physiological and pathophysiological function. The course consists of cadaver dissection and the use of other materials, such as diagnostic imaging, models, and case studies, to learn anatomy and its correlation to examination and diagnosis.
