CH 330 Organic Chemistry I

Organic Chemistry will introduce students to modern theory relating structure (including stereochemistry), properties, and reaction mechanisms to the synthesis and identification of organic compounds. The chemistry of alkanes, alkyl halides, alkynes, and alcohols will be studied. Students will learn synthetic, separation, and characterization techniques in the laboratory part of this course. Lecture three hours per week and laboratory three hours per week.
