PHY 316 Engineering Physics II
A continuation of PHY 316. A survey of thermodynamics and classical electromagnetic theory with an introduction to modern physics. Topics include: Laws of thermodynamics, Coulomb’s law, Gauss’ law, the electric field and the electric potential, DC circuits, Ampere’s law, Faraday’s law, and electromagnetic waves. Classical and quantum waves, interference, and modern physics. Lecture three hours per week and laboratory three hours per week.

PHY 315 at a grade of "C" or higher
