Pre-Pharmacy

Students can enter a school of pharmacy at the end of their sophomore year of studies, although most students will complete three or more years of undergraduate education prior to admission. Students should include in their schedules the following courses: one year of English, one year of biology (Principles of Biology I, Principles of Biology II, Genetics, Microbiology), Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II, two years of chemistry (General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II), one year of mathematics (Calculus I and Introductory Statistics) and Physics I.

The Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) is required of students as part of the application for acceptance into a school of pharmacy.
