Pre-Veterinary

Most students enter a school of Veterinary Medicine upon completion of their bachelor’s degree. Students should include in their schedules the following courses: two years of biology (Principles of Biology I, Principles of Biology II, Microbiology, Cell Biology and Genetics), two years of chemistry (General Chemistry I and II and Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II or Biochemistry Lecture) and one year of physics (Physics I and II).

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required of students as part of the application for acceptance into a veterinary medicine program.
