Pre-Physician Assistant

Most students enter a Physician Assistant program, leading to a master’s degree, upon completion of their bachelor’s degree. Students should include in their schedules the following courses: one year of biology (Principles of Biology I, Principles of Biology II, Genetics, Microbiology), Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II, and one to two years of chemistry (General Chemistry I and II and Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II or Biochemistry Lecture).

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required of students as part of the application for acceptance into a physician assistant program.
